Francis Jones (American politician)

Francis Jones was an American politician that represented Tennessee in the United States House of Representatives. He received a limited schooling, and he studied law. He was admitted to bar, and he commenced practice in Winchester, Tennessee. He was elected Solicitor General of the third Tennessee district in 1815. He was elected as a Democratic-Republican to the Fifteenth, Sixteenth, and Seventeenth Congresses. He resumed the practice of his profession in Winchester and died there.
